Recently numerous states, including Utah, have laid-forth bold proposals to address problems within the health care system. Proposals range in scope from universal to focusing on small business employers and employees, but all are attempting to improve access and quality of health care.
In addition to state level reform, health care has drawn attention on a national level from presidential candidates. Keeping track of all the different proposals can be difficult. The Health Care Reform Tracker measures each of the proposals against a set of Guiding Principles, assigning a point for each Principle that allows you to compare state level, national, and local reform proposals on a level playing field.
The visionary persons at the Utah Health Policy Project have a solution that could insure all Utah citizens. If we can pull this off in Utah, we could start a trend that would effect the living welfare of all Americans. What the UHPP proposes is the right thing to do.
