Take Action with National Reforms

What You Can Do NOW:
We need
everyone's participation to make sure our congressional delegations knows that Utahns overwhelmingly support comprehensive health reforms this year!

Sign on here to the consensus statement showing your support for national reform.

Call Members of Congress and Urge Them to Support Health Reform This Year.

Your elected officials need to hear from you again and again urging them to support comprehensive health system reform...our economic recovery depends on it!

Here are a couple of suggested messages:

“Utah families and businesses need quality, affordable health care to be healthy and financially secure. Please enact health reforms this year that embrace uniquely American and bipartisan solutions.  Reforms must bend the cost curve while increasing choice and competition.  Utahns need quality affordable health coverage that they can count on when they need it most.”

“Hard-working Utah families are struggling to get or keep quality affordable health coverage.  I am one of the 92% if Utahns concerned about health care costs.  Between premiums, co-pays and deductibles, health care is consuming more and more of our family budget. We need to get health care costs under control so that all Americans have access to the care they need when they need it.   Please support meaningful health system reform this year.”

To stop denying Utahns insurance coverage because of preexisting conditions
To give Utahns peace of mind knowing they can get and keep quality, affordable coverage despite life’s ups and downs
To ensure you can receive medical treatment when you need it, without risking bankruptcy
To provide small businesses -the engine of our economy- relief from rising health care costs
The status quo is unsustainable

For small business owners
(Utah’s congressional delegation needs to hear from you most of all)…

“They say it’s up to me to create (or support) the jobs that will lead the way to economic recovery, but I SIMPLY CANNOT DO THIS without relief from rising health care costs. I would like to provide quality, affordable health care coverage to my employees, but I can’t if I want to compete with large chains/grow my business, etc.

“These days, the benefits businesses offer employees are nearly as important as the salary. As a small business owner, if I want to recruit the best employees, I need to be able to offer them the same benefits that bigger companies can. We need health care reform so that we can stay competitive.”
